Fry Dipping Sauce
I tested, tweaked, and taste-tested my way through batches of fry sauce until I landed on this creamy, tangy, slightly sweet, and totally crave-worthy version! It's upgraded with pickle brine and adept seasoning for a bold, balanced, flavor-packed sauce you'll be serving with everything!
Prep Time 5 minutes minutes Total Time 5 minutes minutes
Servings 8 servings (1 1/4 cups)
1 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup ketchup (or more to taste, some like up to 1/2 cup!) 1 tablespoon juice from pickle jar (preferably from bread and butter pickles) 1/2 tsp EACH smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, ground mustard, salt 1/8 tsp EACH pepper, cayenne pepper
Whisk the ingredients together in a medium bowl.
Time permitting, chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
After chilling, adjust to taste, if desired, by adding more ketchup, pickle juice, or cayenne. Delicious with potato wedges (pictured), fries, burgers , cheeseburgers , sandwiches, wraps, chicken nuggets , oven fried chicken , and as a dip for veggies or grain bowls!
Make ahead if possible: It tastes even better the next day after the flavors have had time to blend.
Storage : Store fry sauce in a sealed jar or container in the refrigerator for about 5–7 days.
